Counting Down

I'm actually due for labour yday, but I chose to put it off and wait further cos' I'm not prepared for early birth (at 36 wks? no way!!) yet. Well, preparations at home is definitely more or less done, it's the work that I'm worried about - my handover list was not completed yet as of yday morning, the temp staff will only come in on Tue, and the best part? My gynae is away attending a medical conference and will only be back tmr evening. Urgh. All these uncertainties put me in such insecurity, so I thought I better settle them one by one quickly so that I can give birth with an ease of mind when Dr Ang is back.

So far the bloody mucus has stopped, just that the weight of the baby is falling all on my pelvic area, and it's making me so hard to walk without the legs wide open. Have not been sleeping well in the night either, waking up at least twice to pee, and it's so hard to toss and turn with such a big tummy too. Day time is even worst...keep feeling tired, and just over this weekend, I had slept twice in the day, something rare and which I don't normally do even during my early days of pregnancy. Hubby Goh was still praying hard that baby will arrive only on 21 Apr, cos' we can share the same birth date of 21st while he and Garreth boy shares the same birth date of 15th. Well, it definitely sounds like a plan, but I would definitely hope to pop the little gal out asap cos' I'm really worn out!

Now, what I'm worried is that my diation will stretch even further from 4-5cm to more and can't wait till Tue. Darn, I don't wish to give birth at home or the public. Baby, just hang on...let's all hope that Dr Ang will be back in the clinic on Tue (hopefully she didn't go to Europe and get stucked there!), I'm ready to pop by then and everything just fall smoothly as planned.

An Eventful Sunday

It was meant to be a happy welcome gathering for the Sister (to be back from Japan for the weekend) turned out to be dreadful lunch affair at the Asia Grand Restaurant yday. Well, we were all enjoying the Peking Duck when this man came to our table and approach the brother in law and started accusing our old man (my dad) that he has done something unruly to his wife earlier in the handicapped toilet.

Ok, let me ask, who in the right mind will not lock the toilet door when he/she is using it?? Well, that man's stupid wife DID!!

What happened was dad needed to wash his hands and he was directed to the handicapped toilet by the service staff since the toilet was quite near to our table. The toilet door lock did not reflect that it was occupied, so dad's natural instinct was to push the door to go in. Unfortunately there was a loud woman's scream and dad had a shock and quickly move on to the gent's instead. So while we were having our last dish, this man came to confront and accused dad that he has insulted his wife earlier and demanded for a "sincere" apology from him to his wife. I admit that Sis and Bro in law could have reacted slightly harsh with that man (well, in the first place, that man spoke in a very demanding tone too!), so I interfered trying to mediate between 2 parties but to find out that stupid woman has already reported police!

Fine!! So we waited for the police to arrive and took our statements separately..all the police can derive was that this was a mere misunderstanding and has treated the incident as Police Assistance "case" cos' it was obvious that it was the other party's fault for not locking the damn door and not any of my dad's fault for barging in. Precious time was wasted (almost 2 hrs!!) cos' that woman refused to rest the case and her hubby was frantically calling the Snr Investigator Officer using the policewoman's handphone trying to pursue the matter further. There was also a point where the policewoman tried to persuade that woman (i believe!) to let the matter rest but she burst into tears and created a drama instead. WTF?!?!?

I really felt ashamed of her. C'mon, you're obviously an educated adult, don't you know that you have to lock the toilet door when you are using it?? She claimed that there was also her maid and 2 kids in the toilet with her, they can be witness, but hell, are you holding an orgy session in the toilet with so many people in the toilet? And if you mentioned that you have a kid manning the toilet door for you, would my father has seen anything??? And it's not that you're fully naked, why you asked for a Qing Bai? She must be out of her mind!!

So anyway, the restaurant staff and some regular customers came to give us their support cos' they really felt that the couple was being unreasonable. The entire experience wasn't pleasant at all with all the restaurant go-ers staring at us being surrounded by 3 police, but we were glad that they came to be the middleman and help settle the situation. What we last wanted to see is arguing and fighting with a pair of morons in the public and going nowhere with this trival matter.

And guess who's the champion in the entire saga?? WE!!

Haha...all thanks to Hubby Goh and his instant inspiration. While carrying Aidanz, he took a peep on the police patrol car and took down the car license number, add another number behind (there were 9 of us, so he suggested 9) and we pooled to buy 4D together (with my mum and dad). Alas! We won starter prize for that number and won $2.5K!!! hahahaha....

Must really thank that idiot couple..without them, we won't be $2.5K richer lor...but then again, BALLS to you woman, better have your lesson learn and lock the toilet door the next time you visit one!!

Tired...Fatigue

And I thought I was well rested last night cos' only woke up twice to pee compared to the usual 3-4 times...but here I am starting to feel sleepy and missing my bed :(

Endure endure...

Theoretically it shld be another 7 weeks more, but that largely depends on when the little princess wants to arrive and see her folks. Now walking is already starting to become a chore, shopping is no longer my favourite hobby and the most I can go is perhaps 30mins walking and then I will need to find a refuge to sit down and rest that poor spine and legs. Hard to also play with the boy now on the floor cos' it will take me sometime to pick myself up on twos again. Sometimes the boy has to help pull me up too, usually he will go "Mummy, 1, 2, 3...1, 2, 3..." so helpful of him :) love him to bits!

So, since last weekend, I have been overworking the poor washing machine, throwing all the cute tiny pink and red clothings into it for washing. The rompers and PJs are done, what's left are the cloth nappies, sleep suits, some mittens and booties and new cloth hankies. Target to pack the hospital bag by this coming weekend and clearing up of the nursery by the next. All shld be done by end of this month and come next month, I will be busy doing the handover to the new hired temp (hopefully by then we already have someone!) and counting down to the popping day!

Can't imagine going through another round of confinement again, hoping that the experience this time will be better and more "enjoyable". Oh, nearly forgotten about the getting the maid as well, really need another pair of hands to help out at home since Hubby Goh always have last minute night jobs or entertainment to attend with bosses. Hopefully can get a reliable maid and not go through the headache of maid changing after hearing the horror stories from frens and relatives. Yah, it's just like striking 4D, all depends on luck, so pls wish me all the luck!!

Still sleepy..the lunch is making me even more drowsy than ever....urghh...how to survive for the 4pm meeting later??? zzzzzzzzzzzzzz....

AVP

Yes yes! Just got the sms notification form Hubby Goh that he has received the promotion letter and he is officially appointed as the AVP!!! Yahoo!! So happy for him! All his hard work and effort has paid off...FINALLY! He must be grinning from ear to ear now....hahaha..guess it's his best birthday pressie this year!

I'm happy too cos' i will be getting a bag of my choice..AGAIN! Muhahaha...Now I deliberating whether to get another LV or a Miu Miu...hehehe..so excited!!

Then again, I think I'm having less and less energy to shop liao. Now nearly 7 mths and already feeling the "heaviness"..walking has became a chore and sometimes I just feel like sitting down and do nothing..haha. Sounds so lazy as compared to my previous pregnancy. But funny leh, I didn't put on alot of weight this time round (around 5 kg so far?), but yet I felt heavier?? Hmmm...

Anyway, we have already decided on a name for the darling gal. Not going to disclose here until she's born, but we have been prepping Garreth boy and he has no probs pronouncing or remembering it. That smart alec! Love him to bits :)

Halfway Mark

Yippie! I'm already halfway there, another 4mths+ and I will pop pop pop!

Went for the scheduled detailed scan yday with Hubby Goh. The wait for the scan was sooooo LONG (40mins) while the scan only took less than 30mins! But the wait was worthwhile afterall cos' we saw how beanie did rock and roll inside, flipping up-down and showing her all-so powerful kicks :) And yes, it's 100% confirmed that beanie's a GAL...it was pretty obvious when the sonographer was scanning for the fenur's length (thigh bone)...I was frantically checking if there's any little "3rd leg" in between those thighs and was quite relieved when the sonographer announced that it's really a GAL..hehehe...I is so happy! MIL was as anxious as I am as she called when I was in the middle of the scans! I think she's just as happy for getting a grand daughter this time!

And now, Hubby Goh is just hoping that the precious princess will the Daddy's Gal...haha...cos' Garreth boy is an absolute Mummy's Boy and he is jealous about it..hahaha. Way to go Daddy Goh!

So...hehe...I can start shopping for all the girly items..errm actually I've already done so secretly, just that I never tell Hubby in case he throws a wet blanket.

Statistics as at 20 weeks and 6 days:
My weight gain so far - 2.4kg
Beanie's weight - 430gm

To side track...I'm bio-ing a sling bag from LV and Hubby Goh has generously agreed to sponsor cos' he just got his bonus. Muhahahahaha.....I should be so lucky...lucky lucky lucky!

It's 90%......

Had my 17wks check up today and mini bean is doing fine, just that the whole time it was curled and heads down, even moving my tummy left right didn't make it budge at all, guess that's it's comfort position :)

We did a gender check as well and though beanie wasn't in the best position, Dr Ang could not detect a mini penis, so it could be a GAL though she said it's only 90% accurate. We have to wait for next month for the detailed scan to get a 100%. Yippie!! I'm happy even though it's 90%, now praying super hard that we get that 10% as well to secure a 100%!!

As for my health...sigh, have been suffering from this nasty cough for about 3 wks. Took 2 doses of antibiotics and 2 bottles of cough syrup, it was kinda getting better last week but somehow I think I caught another bug and was down with fever again and then the throat infection is back! Duh. So this evening, it's back to the GP again and I think he's gonna prescribe me with more antibiotics to ensure that I don't get mycoplasma. Sigh...it's so agnosing..I can't wait to be fully recovered! This cough is getting nowhere! Simply hate to be sick!! And because of the cough, I lost my appetite and today when Nurse Julie weighed me, I was a kg lighter instead of heavier!! I just hope that minibean is not affected by this and growing heathily inside me....

Wish me luck on the 10% ok?!

My Biggest Pressie

And so the celebrations ended, both birthday and 5th wedding anniversary.

Though we didn't do anything BIG, managed to spend a day together reminising the dating times..without the BOY of cos :) We went to The Line at Shang for a sumptuous lunch, he has been there twice already for some company functions but thought it will be good to be bring me there since I've been lamenting abt it for quite sometime..hehe. Well, the food was not bad, I wish I had a bigger stomach to wallop them all! After the heavy lunch, we proceeded for some shopping cos' I wanted to hunt for a nice wallet for hub to replace the old one I've bought him 6 years ago. Yes! He's still carrying that and he keeps insisting that it's still in good condition and he can still use it for another 5 more years...haha..this man ah! Anyway, I've managed to convince him and bought him a leather Montblanc wallet. He's still keeping it in the box cos' he said he wants to use it for the new year! OMG! I dunno what to comment abt this man...haha.

For me, I've indulged in another Gucci bag for myself. Hee...it was quite affordable so thought of rewarding myself for the hardwork I've put in for work and at home. Like hub's wallet, my new bag is still pretty well kept in the dust bag cos' I've intended to use it for the chinese new year too...muhahaha...

And guess what's the biggest pressie I've got this year??

Ta-dah! Baby #2!!

Discovered the pregnancy on 13 Sep and was confirmed by the gynae on 28 Sep. Yeh, I waited for 2 weeks to confirm it cos' based on previous experience, the gynae can't check on anything if it's still too early. So by the time I went, I was delighted to know that I'm already 8 weeks preg and was even happier to see the little one for the first time during the scan and heard it's galloping heartbeat too!

All along I've been hoping for a girl, but somehow seeing Garreth boy growing by the day and getting cuter and wiser.. I think it just doesn't matter if baby #2 is a boy or gal anymore. Of cos' if it's a gal it will be a bonue, but if it's another boy, he will be another playmate for Garreth boy and we will still love him as ever.

So till then, we will meet beanie again in another 3 week's time...
